QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR PUPPY PROGRAMS?

Puppy Socialization focuses on safe, structured social interaction. Your puppy will learn how to interact confidently with other dogs, new people, and different environments in a controlled, positive setting. This program is puppy-only and does not require pet parent participation. Puppy Empowerment goes a step further by teaching foundational skills, impulse control, confidence-building exercises, and problem-solving that set your puppy up for long-term success — so both you and your puppy learn how to communicate and work together. Think of Puppy Socialization as “learning to play nicely” and Puppy Empowerment as “learning to think and act smart.”

Most puppies benefit from starting with Puppy Socialization to build a strong foundation in social skills. Once your puppy is comfortable interacting with others, Puppy Empowerment is an excellent next step to strengthen confidence, focus, and independence. Our team will help recommend the right starting point based on your puppy’s age, temperament, and experience.

Not necessarily. While many puppies thrive by completing both programs, each puppy’s needs are unique. Some puppies may only need the socialization skills from Puppy Socialization, while others may benefit most from the added confidence and skill-building of Puppy Empowerment. We’ll help you choose the best path to ensure your puppy’s success.

We typically recommend starting between 8 and 16 weeks old, when socialization is most impactful. Puppies older than 16 weeks can still benefit, but early, positive experiences make a big difference in shaping confidence, manners, and social skills.
